I am known as a promoter of fishing ultralight in my area. When strike a conversation with a fellow fisherman/women, in water or a tackle shop, almost always mention that I am a fisherman ultralight. The most common question of fishermen ultralight is not: "why?". Why choose ultra-light fishing on cane conventional methods? For those of you that perhaps you are wondering the same, I will answer the question for you, here.
There are two main reasons why choose ultra-light fishing. Here they are:
Fishing UL allows me to fish with lures smaller and lighter. I have found that fish strike more easily these decoys reduced. Most of the lures I use, look anything from natural foods that eat fish. Therefore, I believe that using a decoy minor aid that fish are more comfortable in eating something unusual, therefore more striking.
One of my friends, which insists on the use of address heavier, has never attracted more fish than I. Our techniques and methods of fishing are virtually identical. It uses only lures bigger, thicker line and one rod heavier. Get me about twice many strikes and catch on twice many fish. This is not a time thing, either. This happens constantly. Why he still uses address heavier? Well, he is tenacious in his ways. But do not worry, I'm slowly turning him on another, the better side.
I noticed that the lighter the lure more realistic is the action. I firmly believe that it is also a contributing factor to obtain more squeamish fish strikes.
Catch a fish small in ultralight tackle is definitely not more difficult than conventional tackle. It is when hook in the fish larger than the things get more difficult. You can test the limits of his tackle, knowing that a movement can be badly losing that lunker forever. With ultralight aircraft that more than a "struggle" to get the larger fish and the fishing has been why I love. I love the high fever and adrenaline I get from that experience.
If you are a fisherman ultralight, would choose fishing ultra-light?

I recently had the opportunity to test optic sports sunglasses polarized of BTB. I tried for about a month in some of the toughest conditions, interior Alaska on the principle of "winter". This is what I think sobre ellos.
At first glance, I received of BTB sunglasses seemed very average. I wonder, already property of envelope have 10-15 pairs of sunglasses in the past few years. But after a few fishing and hunting excursions, really started to like them.
Tint: Lenses that I received had the perfect amount of shade. They were dark enough to shade the eyes from the bright sun, but still not to compromise his vision. It is very important, in my opinion, if fishing you hunting or sight of upland game birds.
Polarization: I found the polarization filter applied to these vessels did a great job of reducing blinding glare when it was salmon fishing (pictured above). It helped me to clearly see the fish for what I could put the just lure in his face, increasing their strikes.
Quality: After using these glasses for about a month, I realized that are well built. I left them a couple of times and even stepped on them once. All this caused minor scratches only within with no damage to lenses. The lenses are really ballistic quality polycarbonate, and handle can a direct hit from a 12 indicators shotgun at 50 feet. Hard lenses! Remove the video:
Conclusion: I definitely recommend these glasses to a friend. At less than $50, can not beat them. To achieve this cute glasses you have to pay more than $100. Here is their official website: fishing sunglasses

When it comes gift holiday, we do not want that generally the same types of gifts that normal people, most considered to be "useful" or "handy". No, I had much rather we have more decoys or address to bring up the water wherever we go. If you are a fisherman in his family, you can stop thinking about gifts that will buy them and think exactly why fishing lures do these great gifts.
First of all, no matter how many draws or paintings of tackle that has your favorite fisherman, can always have more. If you took a quick look at the types of lures that have, especially that linked with regularity in their bars, you will get a very good idea of what they are looking for. You can take these ideas to your local store for bait and address and find out what colors, sizes and styles work best in your area. That will give you a very quick and easy way giving them a gift that you know that you are using.
If he is trying to get them end something a little more than one couple of purchased fishing lures, can even get some very well designed designed custom lures built by hand. While the fisherman does not always use them in the water have some rights bragging with your fishing friends that wish they had the same baits. Some of the specialized lures such as Lucky Craft offers are so realistic that the fisherman can never use it and keep it as an element of display on your desktop, and in his Studio.
Instead of fighting with trying to figure out what to them for the upcoming holidays of gifts, to stop and take a look at the lures that have got tied in. Purchase a few lures is much better to give them a gift to any big box store, or even buy them a new combo rod and reel can not adapt to how often you fish (royalists, fishermen are not difficult to buy rods and reels!) and does not require ashamed to ask for a receipt back combo for something they really wanted: more decoys!

When it comes to fisheries under ultra light, some lures work, get to the biggest fish, in the way that it will be a basic old jig. Throughout my years I have fish low under a wide range of conditions, temperatures of the water, clarities and structure types and claim has not been nearly as consistent pull under great out of the water in a light and ultra light than a windridge jig rod. Below are four of my favorite templates that are light enough to operate perfectly in ultra-light gear. Want to make sure that you are using 1/8 oz for the majority of applications to make sure that you are able to get a good hookset with his tackle UL.
This is my all jig favorite time for ultra-light fishing windridge. 1/8 Ounce model easily projected over incredibly long distances, and lighter weed guard makes it easy to establish tight lipped fish hook. The body is strong in the jighead even after multiple catches, where donde comenzar? will start other templates do not and have the skirt slide downward by the hook. My favorite colors are black and blue, watermelon and pumpkin oil.
-
This is one of the few gigs that I've saved to my arsenal of more than one season. The ChatterBait has a piece of blade - on the front that gives the flash of a spinner. It is the device to tie occasionally need flash extra. It also has a very unique action when he pulled through the water that is irresistible to bass. Match colors crabs, water or small baitfish errors and has a proven winner.
-
Booyah knows how to fish. Your baby Boo Jigs really tagged as a finesse jig, but are perfect for ultralight gear. 3/16 Oz model features a guardian body of 60 strand and a light weed, with a hook for lightweight Mustad super strong wire that makes configuration easy. My favorite colors on these are black/brown/Chartreuse, black/blue and 3D watermelon red. When gently place the baby Boo in the water, if there are fish in the area, everything you need to do is just move it to get the skirt to undulate. More often that not, this is enough to attract a strike and obtain its drag move.
-
Another one of my favorite types of bass dies is the tube jig. While they are mostly known as a jig mouth, they do very well with all popular species of black bass. Gary Yamamoto tube jigs are the best I have ever used. These templates are well designed and come in a wide variety of colors. Squid tail has an incredible action under water. Every twitch of the tip of the rod makes these templates of tube life. You will need 1/8 ounce tube jig heads properly rig these tubes for the fishing of UL.

Different types of templates for ultra-light fishingImpressive for ultra-light fishing jigsTips for autumn Jig fishing catch under greatDocan trap under the ultralight Tackle?A great technique for fishing trouts arco iris in the springIt is impossible to avoid any type of fishing gear that uses constraints. However, by using ultralight gear becomes one even bigger problem. If you're in a position where it is at risk of losing its appeal, you can think of some of the techniques that I personally use for free from obstacles and try to save myself a few bucks.
Don't try to theft is free -one of the biggest mistakes you can do is to try stealing the lure of the sticks. If you are dealing with a pile of weeds can leave, but for the majority of situations is anyone is going to cause the lure deeper receptor in the paste or even end up breaking their line. Instead of stealing the free lure, you want to stop and try to make a determination of what that could be caught in and how better approach to the situation.
Light ripple rod tip : the first technique that can be used is the high stick in the air and start the undulation of the tip of the rod and back. Try to avoid pulling the tip of the rod in the air because it will end up sinking deeper hooks on the downside. When you move the left and right end of the rod to to dislodge more disadvantages as the decoy isn't set too deep.
Learn the technique of string : If unsuccessful the undulation of the rod of back and forth, can also try the technique of "string". So you want to tighten down their drag and then drums until any delay. With the pointer and thumb you can grab the line and slowly her pluck as a string or guitar string will do. Cast semi-tight to you and then leave it "pop" to its original position. This "popping" enough to get the decoy to deploy, is to liberate himself from debris underwater.
Build your own attract aldaba : when you're incapable of undulation of the tip of the rod and rope technique not loosen your claim, you will that you should use a "decoy" aldaba. They are heavy weighted elements to slide his line and sit above the lure. With the added weight of the aldaba sitting on top of your claim, shall normally be down hard enough decoy and breaking hooks free of everything that you are connected. can make their own aldaba with a clip and heavy weights. Normally use a total of 2-4 ounces of weight, depending on how deep I am fishing.
Reposition yourself from the downside : If you can walk, or move the boat, you may be placed directly through where he ran when he caught and attempt to remove from an opposite direction. As you have not set too deep hooks into the structure, this method is almost guaranteed to loosen the paste and save a few bucks.

Best monofilament lines could be considered the perfect blend of invisibility and stretching, provide ultra-light fishing with a line that is durable and helps resist break-up of the line runs from the biggest fish. There are 4 major manufacturers of mono line I know personally I can count on when I'm ready to respool my reels. It is likely that he has probably used these lines before. If not, you may owe itself to give them a shot the next time you have to tie new line combo ultralight.
Berkley has built a name for themselves in the fishing industry because they constantly put quality products that are priced for the fishermen on a budget. Its line of smooth casting Trilene XL is perfect for reels ultra-light because it is both limp and has very little memory retention, making the mold without effort. The design of the soft XL line Casting helps make sure that you are dealing with less line of torque and less of the kinks, to obtain an abrasion resistance good to avoid breaking their expensive decoys.
-
CXX X-tra strong monofilament line p is a blessing for the ultra-light low fishermen. MOSS green color provides the right visibility on the water amount, while maintaining the line be seen beneath the surface. The color of course is excellent when you are dealing with situations of clear water. The manufacturers of the p line his CXX monkey with a coating that makes it extremely resistant to abrasion front, with a high rupture resistance, but also manages to keep his lameness properties to prevent that a memory retains around its tail.
-
Stren is another company that built its name, putting high quality products at prices which could afford all fishermen. If you asked Bill Dance what was your favorite line, say the monofilament Stren Original. Currently, the Original monkey holds the record for Word IGFA for Blue Marlin pound 573. Although you can never try to catch a big fish in line ultra light, it is good to know that their products have the capacity and utilization properties you need to avoid having to worry about the line.
-
I love the products of SpiderWire. 4 Lb test lines are excellent in ultra-light gear. The new EZ monkey is 25% stronger than its mono original, while maintaining the same diameter and control the properties of expansion. If you have trouble feeling smaller fish bites and still want a line that will be able to control and move the much bigger fish, EZ Spiderwire monkey is the line you are looking for. It is incredibly easy casting limp and provides enough stretch to maintain strong knot suspensions and avoid breaking for what is can chew down his drag that much more.

Some fishermen have asked if it would not be achieving better distance using a baitcaster and rod. Time and time again, though, have discovered that there is a reason why so many combos ultralights are sold as suits of spinning. I have personally made this mistake when I purchased a reel that was supposedly capable of launching decoys UL, only to find that it is like so many other baitcasters requiring heavy weights to move any line. There are different reasons, why this happens so often.
The main reason I wanted to try a casting reel was to determine whether it would be able to get more distance with a casting that could achieve in my old costume spinning rod. I had read the 50 Calcutta, as well as the refinement of La21tw reels were capable of launching ultralight lures without problems, so I decided to pick up a reel La21tw fineness and rod for me. I quickly found that when my 4 lb test line 1/8 oz linked Rapala Countdown were problems. I drag both as possible, establish the magnetic brakes left to 0 and then opened the brake of the reel as it could possibly be loosened. (The knob really left detachment both!)
When it did and launched the coil, the lure not started falling as it does with other heavier lures. He said that it was simply enough weight to get the movement winding. I went out and tried to cast with the Setup program had only spent so much money with the same dismal results. While the spool no backlash (that was promised in the reviews I read before buying it) simply does not move the lure all. No matter how much force I put in the outline of casting the lure did not want to move.
When had bound the same attraction in my rod UL of 5' 6 and dress of yarn, then flip the bail, the decoy sunk into the ground without any doubt. When using the same team to miss out on the water, I can easily achieve conversions of 40? without problems. All the problems I had with my casting reel fiasco shows that he still has to be a reel designed to launch decoys super light with any kind of distance. If you have positive experiences with a baitcaster, I definitely would like to know in the comments. From here on, however, only uses spinning gear and they have grown to understand why there are so many costumes of ultra-light spinning of high quality for sale, and zero ultralight baitcasting sets on the market.

How Spool a reel Spinning to avoid line TwistMakes it even more with their ultralight RodBuild your own ultra light ComboHow to take proper care of his Spinning reelWhat exactly is ultra-light fishing?I've tried quite a few different types of templates in my years of ultra-light fishing, but there are a few that are still purchased if they lend themselves to losing them, or about getting caught and cut them. Below are five of my favorites types of templates for the capture of a wide variety of species of ultra-light fishing gear, according to their action, durability, and profitability.
Crappie of Mister Twister templates are lightweight and durable. Built with hair color Marab?, with a soft tail who perfectly imitates small baitfish when you drag through the water column. If it returned to you, or swam, Mister Twister Crappie jigs bag fish more than most other types of based Marab? gigas. While his name allows you to know that killing Crappie, work equally well on all species of panfish, trout and bass.

There is a motto which accompanies each jig Road Runner: if slow enough work, work more slowly. This is due to the movements of the body and the tail with the spoon of small spinnerblade in the jighead natural, realistic style. The spinner helps to capture the attention of fish in the area while the soft plastic body and tail of working its magic to attract to the strikes. These jigheads work on all species of fish than anything salt water intrusion in fresh water.
-
This is probably my most recent jig fishing ultra-light favorite. Out-fish is a simple but unique jig, and often all similar templates. It has a head of jig's style of dart which gives trout magnet a single darting action when jigged in the water. The soft plastic body also has a very unique style. It is a small grub with split tail. I am amazed of how such a simple claim on fish catch. If the fish not bite another thing, try a trout magnet, could only change their luck.
-
OK, Ok... its marketing as a bait spinner for nothing to nothing, but when you take you off the arm spinner and blade, will end with a head of ultralight jig that is super effective at anything that moves in the water. Everything've taken you of Panfish, Crappie, bass and catfish in these, AMIA, Ladyfish, and even a large turtle. There is something attractive about design low profile that sounds like the Bell of the dinner for fish and small legs. When you are ready to move fast, can link the arm and spinner and work even faster waters.

If it has never broken a fish because of the selection of poor line or old line used, might think about one hundred yards of print queue, and therefore, line braided in its ultralight reel. Braid offers some of the highest levels of sensitivity of all types of lines, diameters incredibly thin, making it the lids cast and, as technology has advanced, even avoids knots of wind, entangled in the tip of the rod and lose its dye during a short fishing sessions. Below are five of the different types of braids that I used with high levels of success.
One of my favorite braids for ultra-light fishing must be the performance of suffix braid. The line is slightly on the lateral side, but the old adage "You get what you pay" rings true ever buy another queue. Suffix tests its lines interlaced in some of the harshest conditions to ensure that even us humble ultra-light fishermen will get the best use of it. Their Y6 braid digital technology and coating smooth are modified, almost always, no matter what punishment can put it through. When I am using suffix Braid tie really a leader's siege of suffix.
-
It is difficult for me to decide which I like, the line of previous suffix or a coil of Spectra of PowerPro. In the end, the PowerPro came in second, because they have been using my drums suffix line season has not had any problems with him. Spectra has a diameter greater than the balance of power of any braided line and has a soft texture, rather than the waxy coating on other lines, making it easy to tie knots and leaders.
-
Berkley Fireline is excellent to make projections of long and not having to worry about their knots slide as easily other types of braid or fused lines. 6 Lb test works perfectly under all conditions of fishing, Super cold autumn and evenings of winter, some of the days hottest, muggiest in the bright summer sun.
-
SpiderWire enters the ultralight fishing market with a line of 6 lb test which has a diameter of 1 lb test, making incredibly thin. A layer of unique Teflon online help to maintain a reliable cross-section and makes super quiet during the conversion and recover. One thing I like most about SpiderWire is that they do not bleed their colors in clothes, or lose their color in the course of the season as one of lesser quality, will be the lines.
-
TuF line understands that the problems fishermen have when they are pursuing spool lines interlaced his ultralight spinning the reels. Fall to the creation of loose loops, the problems are care with broad engineering that it is in each section of Tuf-line Dura Cast braided lines. The help line to reduce noise on the line guide, knots of wind and wrapping around the tip of the rod.
Steve Townson fromAmazon-Angler.com has just returned from the Amazon where he was on a two week sortie on two very different rivers, the wide, shallow Rio Araca on the Northen side of the Negro and the smaller, deeper, more romantic Rio Caures on the Southern side. Great report and photos from Steve below - if your looking for a lure fishing holiday with a difference this winter drop him a line!
At the start of week 1 we arrived on the Araca only to find us in rising water conditions. The levels rose by over 1m during the week! High water is an Amazon angler's nightmare as it puts the fish down due to cooler water temperatures and it allows water to rise over the banks and spread into the surrounding jungle, making finding fish like looking for a needle in a haystack!
With only 750 fish caught by 8 anglers for the week, most of our group caught big fish, with 18lbs being the largest Peacock Bass and a couple of 50 and 60lb Piraiba Cats were caught in the evenings. We ran the camp down river to the Rio Negro to get away from the rising levels and downwards onto the Rio Caures.
Arriving at the mouth delta of this beautiful river at the end of the first week, we found the Caures to be a completely different story, with low conditions and fish busting on baitfish everywhere. Lots of good sized fish were caught from day 1 with the largest Peacock at 22lb and quite a few 20s and 21s also caught. Many high teeners also added to the total of over 2,000 Peacocks for 7 anglers in 6 1/2 days. A few Redtail Cats also caught with the biggest at about 65lbs only.
In total we must have travelled and fished over 800 miles of rivers. A good bunch of guys and many new friends made.
Next report will come in a few weeks from Argentina for Giant Dourado at the world-famousLa Zona Lodge, followed by a week in the Brazilian Amazon for Peacock Bass at our friendly, family-run eco-lodge.
I have never heard of back reeling until I came across this video on myoutdoortv.com. It’s an interesting concept, where instead of relying on your drag, you reel backwards to give the fish line, when it makes a strong run.
I can’t believe I never though of this myself. I’ll have to try this next time I hook a large fish, to see if it has all the benefits mentioned in the video.

We have enjoyed a good summer trade and fishing and get great feedback from customers that makes all deserve. The fishing boat last month has been good to me and Dan had a few sessions of the high coast on Herm towards the end of August. I do not have many fish of land on the mark of 5 lbs since the beginning of the summer, I lost a good fish yesterday on anima Skimmer salt (one of my lures of the season), but there is still time. In reality, we are entered in the best low fishing months of the year if we all hope the practice will be worth it! I've included some of our photos of the summer for the moment, send us your best shots and we'll get them on the site for you...

We just had a great weekend fishing the Bass Festival during which my fishing buddies got stuck into me for not updating the blog regularly enough. I told them about Facebook (www.facebook.com/monstertackle ), mumbled something about having a wife and two young kids but they were having none of it! So here's a quick post to keep them off my back...
Over the years we've come to love the Jersey Bass Festival weekend, organised by Steve Mullins and the Sinkers Sea Fishing Club it is well supported by sponsors and always draws a big crowd (over 200). The format is simple start fishing at 6pm on Friday night, finish by 7pm on Sunday and you can fishing almost anywhere you like on the Island so long as you can reach it by foot.
We managed just 1 bass this year between 4 of us and it placed joint 3rd in the catch and release section - just 1 fish for 4 rods isn't very good but we had alot of fun along the way. The catch and release section was won by Dave Watson who nailed an 8lb fish on a soft plastic in fast running water in the middle of the night - well done mate! The lure section was won by Giles Allcock with a fish of 5lb 15oz 12dr he also won the visitors section so a great weekend for him. Some photos and the full results from a cracking weekend below.

I searched Google for the “world’s smallest game fish”, and came across an interesting article on Fishing Fury. The article is about tanago fishing in Japan. Tanago are tiny freshwater fish that are targeted by anglers using super light bamboo rods, human hair as fishing line, and micro hooks. The point is not to catch the largest one, but rather the smallest. The smaller the tanago you catch, the more skilled you are considered. This is surely ultralight fishing taken to the extreme.
Anyway, I don’t want to ruin the article for you. It’s definitely worth a read. Here’s the link:
