Wednesday, May 11, 2011Wrasse more! Sorry, but I have the bug since getting back from Oz and serioulsy for a 3-4 lb fish to one really bend in myESGII! Some photos of a short session earlier this evening below - all fish have been taken on a4 "Keitech, Impact live green pumpkin." I have been fishing the bait, Texas rigged with a5 g River2Sea nose and asize of 1/0 Gamakatsu 314 worm Hook on a 15 lb. fluorocarbon leader.
This Wrasse went a little more than 2 lbs, beautiful fish caught right under my feet only at dusk this evening - lots of fun on light gear!
Sunday, may 8, 2011A caught a fast time on the North Coast this morning and landed a few Wrasse on some Keitech cowards. The fish were taken on a Texas rigged (5 g nose), 4 "direct Impact in green pumpkin." I dropped also better on the tail of the paddle, 4 "Swing Impact - I sometimes think the Wrasse dump tails and you think that you have them when they are really you!"
