Dan and I caught a few hours on the last boat Monday morning before the high wind its ugly face again and I must say that we had some great fishing! A decent for 4 lb mark, bass rockfish 3 lbs and tons of decent Pollack. A few photos and a short video below but the standout for me bait was a factSakura 125 magic eel team with a14 g Sakura Makaira Jig Head, both the bass in the video and the Wrasse photo nailed it - a good combination. I have been considering their place for some time now, and it was great to finally test and they are quite resilant bait soft too. I used a 14 g head that we were drifting fast enough water at times, but a head of 7 g would be perfect. Dan, landed a massive Pollack on bass Assassin goby, see photo - this fish has had on the drop as many of the Pollack appeared and defend a large fast, shallow water. It also takes a beautiful top on a 115 Sammy bass - first sunk on a submerged head (less than 2 ft) and bang - you love lures surfaces!
Great to be back out on the boat - I had a car accident before last weekend that left my woman on crutches to fish for the summer on the pilot light for a few weeks.
The video below is cut short because I turend the camera on and after 52 seconds, he ran out of batteries! Not a bad 52 capture seconds and he savds through me hours of video footage!
